What we do.

We open doors for people aged 5 to 25 in Salford by providing opportunities for personal development and growth. We do this by offering funding, which helps our applicants take part in activities, try new experiences and generally do what makes them feel fulfilled!

“Our great city has many talented individuals and lack of funding should not be a barrier to success.”

Nick Abbot, The Salford Trust

We’ve helped more than 700 individuals since 2004.

That’s over 700 possibilities created for Salford’s young people, and we show no sign of stopping!

We’ve supported budding young dancers, actors, climbers, gymnasts, singers, photographers and many more to pursue their passions, regardless of financial restrictions.

Examples include:

  • Purchasing new kit and boots for a football-loving lad

  • Funding a sewing machine for a girl with a passion for fashion

  • Supporting the future of one of Team GB’s Paralympic swimmers

  • Helping a schoolboy busker amplify his talent (and riff with Johnny Marr)
